Gut Bacteria = Weight Loss
Ok this may be a weird topic… I mean who wants to talk about gut bacteria that’s just GROSS!!!! Well as person with a science background it’s quite interesting!!!! And I’m all about it!
If your just now joining my blog, my undergraduate studies were in biology and for my senior capstone course I had to to do a research topic and present it in order to graduate. So my topic was on the Human gut microbiome and its relationship to obesity. It was by far the most interesting and eye opening topic EVER!!!! I LOVED IT! And now that I think back on it, it may have been the start of my fitness/ wellness career without me even knowing lol.
Ok back to business here…. Let’s have a chat on how important our gut health is for balancing our weight.
Let’s get GEEKY…
In our gut we have millions of bacteria that help us digest our foods, balance hormones, and even play a role in our weight. There are also a few “bad” bacteria in thier for other purposes but they usually don’t cause any harm when they are at a balance. From my undergraduate research studies, research has shown that when there is an imbalance of “bad” bacteria in the gut in comparison to good bacteria it can cause an individual to store fat.
OMG WHO WOULD HAVE THUNK IT!!!!
Research has shown recently that our gut bacteria plays a major role in how we metabolize calories from our food sources. Our gut bacteria also plays as a communication channel for our nervous system. For example: bacteria affect serotonin production which is our happy feel good hormone which in turn affects our mood!
Isn’t that just CRAY CRAY.
Since gut health has been a major hit in the fitness and wellness world many people are beginning to check on their gut health by taking probiotics and getting their gut health in check. I want to help you reset your gut by offering up my Gut Healing Recipe Book for FREE!!!!

Gut health is so important. If the gut is unhealthy, every aspect of overall health can become compromised from immunity, to skin quality and even mental health.
This program gives the gut a break from common irritants like grains and legumes. It incorporates gut-loving nutrients like collagen and glutamine. I’ve also added fermented foods to help replenish the gut with good bacteria.
